Poplar Fun Days will take place Aug. 3-4 in the village of Poplar. All events except the parade will take place at the Poplar Golf Course this year. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Poplar Volunteer Fire Department, which is coordinating this year’s activities.

The parade will start at Bong Park at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, and march through downtown. Kids carnival games begin at noon at the golf course, with a corn hole tournament at 2 p.m., kids relay races at 2:15 p.m. and firehouse games at 3:30 p.m.

Live music will be featured, as well. Deepwater Music will take the stage at 11 a.m. followed by Northwoods Boys at 3 p.m., Shakin, Not Stirred at 4 p.m. and a street dance with The Country at 6 p.m. Enjoy fireworks at dark by K&G Fireworks.

Fun days will be combined with the fire department’s golf scramble fundraiser this year. The scramble begins at 10 a.m. with tee times until 2 p.m. Call 715-364-2689 to sign up.

The annual celebration caps off Sunday, Aug. 4, with a pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m. and a Sunday service at 10:15 p.m., both at the golf course. There is no cost for the breakfast; goodwill donations will be accepted. Visit the Poplar Fun Days event on Facebook for more information.
