Photos: Roaring with the Tigers

Crowd roars as Northwestern football defeats Rice Lake in its home opener.

Decked out in Hawaiian gear, the student section at Northwestern High School roared for their Tigers during the football game at Gordon L. Nelson Field in Maple Friday, Aug. 27.

The team gave the fans multiple things to cheer for, defeating Rice Lake 28-20 in their home opener.

Jed Carlson joined the Superior Telegram in February 2001 as a photographer. He grew up in Willmar, Minnesota. He graduated from Ridgewater Community College in Willmar, then from Minnesota State Moorhead with a major in mass communications with an emphasis in photojournalism.
