The Superior Singers presents its 2018-19 Christmas concert, “Good Tidings Now We Bring.”

The performances feature familiar carols and hymns performed in unfamiliar ways.

Using traditional and nontraditional arrangements of some of the greatest songs of the season, the concert tells the timeless story of the birth of our Lord, according to Brian MacDonell, director of the Superior Singers.

Join the Singers this holiday season as they put their spin on Christmas classics like “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “I Saw Three Ships” and “O Holy Night.” Learn the history of these hymns and carols and how they fit in and were inspired by the events leading up to and following the birth of Jesus Christ.

The free concert starts at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Christ Lutheran Church, 320 N. 28th St. E., Superior.

The only performance with an admission charge is at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at Sacred Heart Music Center, 201 W. Fourth St., Duluth. Tickets are $10.
