Operation Christmas Child is accepting shoebox gift donations through Nov. 22 at the following Northland drop-off sites:
- Mount of Olives Baptist Church, 1500 Swan Lake Road, Duluth.
- Grace Church, 601 14th St., Cloquet.
- Rock Hill Youth Building, 603 Faxon St., Superior.
- Emmanuel Baptist Church, 93 Midway Drive, Virginia.
- Hibbing Alliance Church, 4220 Third Ave. W., Hibbing.
- Palisade Baptist Church, 5486 Highway 61, Silver Bay.
- Grand Rapids Alliance Church, 600 SE 17th St., Grand Rapids.
- New Life Church of Aitkin, 11 First St. SW, Aitkin.
- Moose Lake Covenant Church, 700 Fifth St., Moose Lake.
- Grace Bible Fellowship, 73605 State Highway 13, Washburn.
Shoeboxes filled with gifts that are labeled with the age group and gender the gifts are for, plus a $9 donation per box, will be accepted. Gifts can include toys, hygiene items and school supplies.
Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, has collected and delivered more than 188 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 160 countries and territories since 1993.
