Sean O’Neill and Lily Kline, juniors at Superior High School, were selected Superior Optimist Club Youth Optimists for March.
Sean O’Neill participates in SHS baseball and Pledgemakers. He volunteers for the Superior Youth Organization and at his church. He plays American Legion baseball. His plans after high school are to attend a university, possibly the University of Wisconsin, to pursue a degree in business. Sean is the son of Susan and Mark O’Neill.
Lily Kline participates in SHS volleyball, Interact Club, prom committee and is an officer for Pledgemakers. She is a member of St Francis Xavier Church, Minnesota North Volleyball Club, the National Honor Society and the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership program. Her plans after high school are to attend college to pursue a degree in the field of education. Lily is the daughter of Randy and Christina Kline.
The students have been joining the Optimist Club for weekly luncheon meetings. They will have the opportunity next fall to apply for a $1,000 service award sponsored by the club.
