The Northwest Cleansweep hazardous waste “milk run” program, which is designed to accept hazardous wastes from municipalities, businesses and schools from a 10-county region that includes Douglas County, has announced registration for the fall 2020 collection.
Items being accepted include fluorescent bulbs, computers, oil-based paint, solvents or adhesives, antifreeze, corrosives, aerosols, button or rechargeable batteries, liquid PCBs, poison solids, solid or liquid pesticides, ballasts and mercury.
Registration is required by Wednesday, Oct. 7. Collections will take place in October. There will be a separate pick-up fee for this service.
