The Superior Rotary Club will hold its ninth annual Craft Beer and Wine Event fundraiser virtually this year. An online auction featuring more than 140 items will run from Monday, April 26, to Sunday, May 2, at BiddingOwl.com.
Items up for sale were donated by Rotary members and local businesses. The list includes camping equipment; a cordless drill; leaf blower; gift certificates for overnight stays and restaurants; craft beer and wine; and dozens of gift baskets with one-of-a kind items.
Rotary President Charlie Johnson and auction committee Chair Megan Meyer said the Rotary Club will use funds raised to support two Northwest Wisconsin nonprofit organizations: the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Dreamkeeper Fund and Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency. A small portion of the proceeds will be set aside for Rotary International projects.

The Dreamkeeper Fund provides small emergency grants to students who are experiencing an unexpected setback or event that has caused a financial emergency. They are usually less than $250 and are used to cover unexpected expenses such as vehicle repairs, loss due to a tragedy such as a fire or theft, help with groceries or a $25 gas card when times are tight. The Superior Rotary has committed its support to the Dreamkeeper Fund since 2012.
Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency serves residents with critical needs in Douglas, Ashland, Bayfield, Iron and Price counties.
