Sleepout benefits Douglas County's homeless
A Night Without a Home, a sleepout to benefit Douglas County's homeless providers, takes place from noon Saturday, Oct. 13, to noon Sunday, Oct. 14, in the city park on the corner of Belknap Street and Tower Avenue next to Superior Public Library.
Donations of socks and sleeping bags will be collected on-site. Financial donations are also being sought. Checks should be written to Faith United Methodist Church, c/o A Night Without a Home.
The donations will go to support Harbor House Crisis Shelters, Solid Rock Mission, Human Development Center, the Salvation Army and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
