Nine individuals and two teams inducted into Superior Hall of Fame

The Oct. 1 ceremony was the first to be held since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

SUPERIOR — After a few years off due to COVID-19, Superior High School honored multiple classes of Hall of Fame inductees on Saturday, Oct. 1. A total of nine individuals and two teams entered the Spartan Hall from both the athletic and academic sides.

Jon Schwantes and Shaye Morris were honored as Academic Lifetime Achievement Award Inductees. Arnold Prochazka and Ray Kosey became Lifetime Contribution Award Inductees.

Both the 1968 880-yard Relay team and 1976 Football team were recognized with Athletic Team Inductions.

Sarah (Mattson) Haasis, Erik Raygor, Mike Gidley and Len Campbell were inducted for Individual Athletic Accomplishment.

And last, but certainly not least, Don Leighton was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Community Supporter.
