The 19th annual Coats for Kids event, sponsored by Benna Ford, is collecting new and used coats for all ages through the month of October at the following locations: Walmart in Superior and Hermantown; all Lake Superior Cleaners sites; Benna Ford; Superior Salvation Army; the Haunted Shack in Carlton; Midwest Communications; Cub Foods; Como Oil and Propane in Duluth and Two Harbors; and Ruth House in Superior.
The coats will be professionally cleaned by Lake Superior Cleaners and distributed for free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 11, 12 and 13 at the Salvation Army of Superior, 916 Hughitt Ave. Masks will be required and a limited number of people will be allowed in the building at a time.
