Four local officials stepped up to the plate, so to speak, to help deliver meals to Superior seniors Wednesday morning.

Superior Police Chief Charles LaGesse, Superior City Council member Mick MacKenzie, Douglas County Board Chairman Doug Finn and state Rep. Nick Milroy accompanied Senior Connections Nutrition program drivers on their city routes to deliver 128 meals.

Five drivers deliver over 100 meals every weekday in the city of Superior.

"We are so grateful and fortunate to have the support of these local community leaders," said Rhoda Nagorski, executive director of Senior Connections, which administers the Senior Nutrition Program.
