Members of the Wisconsin Retired Educators’ Association recently met in five locations throughout the state - Rice Lake, Sparta, Appleton, Oconomowoc and Monroe. From our area, Judy Hack, Pat Luder, Gert Persons and Marge Kaptonak represented the Superior Area Retired Educators in Rice Lake. The Wisconsin Retirement Educator’s Association is a nonpartisan grassroots nonprofit organization of retired school personnel. The goal is to protect the Wisconsin Retirement System and support public education. This year SAREA was recognized at the District 1 meeting for volunteering one million hours in community service.
