Engineering Services for

Low Impact Design Improvements for the Woodstock and Pokegama Bay Launches

Proposals will be received by the City of Superior, Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department, at 1316 North 14th Street, 2nd floor, Attn: Contract Analyst, Superior, WI 54880. Proposals will be evaluated by City staff.

Project:The purpose of this project is to seek design and engineering services for the low-impact design of two "rustic" launches in the St. Louis River Estuary, Superior, Wisconsin. The project outcome is to increase access to the St. Louis River Estuary and the transformation of degraded coastal sites. This project will be funded by a Wisconsin Coastal Management Program grant.

The City is requesting proposals from qualified Architect/Engineer (A/E) consultants to perform preliminary and detailed, bid-ready design services for the launch improvements. Services are to be completed by June 15, 2019.

Design elements include stabilizing shorelines, erosion management, natural plantings, use-appropriate amenities, and improved ability to access these sites on foot, on the water, and via a motorized vehicle.

All proposals must be prepared on the form provided and submitted in accordance to the Instructions to Consultant/Firm.
