Two recipients of the Rosalind Wilcox Scholarship were recently presented with $500 scholarships.
Ellen Stoll, a Northwestern High School graduate and daughter of Ardeen and Fred Stoll of Maple, is enrolled at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
MaKayla Lovejoy, a South Shore graduate and daughter of Frank and Shelly Lovejoy, also received a scholarship and is enrolled at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, majoring in biology and pre-medicine.
Wilcox, an educator in the Iron River area who passed away July 20, 2010, had requested that portions of money raised at a benefit in her honor be used to provide scholarships for graduates of the two high schools. This is the sixth year the scholarships have been presented.
