Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency will be offering free income tax preparation in Superior and Ashland through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.

Individuals and families with children may qualify for the program if their combined household income is less than $57,000 annually and they have been a Wisconsin resident for one full year.

The service will be provided through a drop-off and pick-up model beginning Monday, Feb. 1. Clients can stop by the agency's Superior office, 1118 Tower Ave., to grab a folder with an intake sheet and information on what paperwork is needed.

Once the completed sheet and paperwork are dropped off at the office, volunteers with the program will prepare the tax forms, then contact the client to set up an appointment to review and file their return.

Ashland residents can pick up and drop off their paperwork at 623 Second Ave. E., Ashland.
