FBLA takes 2nd at regionals

Members of the Superior High School FBLA club attended regional competition in Baldwin on Feb. 5.

Overall, Superior took second place at regionals and Kate Bergum was voted into the position of Region I vice president for the 2011-2012 school year. Students who earned one of the top three slots in each event will move on to state competition.

Individual awards were were follows: Austin Lindstrom earned second place in technology concepts; Brentton Paulus placed first in Networking Concepts; Dylan Johnson earned first place in Help Desk; Blake Johnson earned second place in Business Procedures; the team of Brett Bukowski, Richard Mikel and Steven Mikel earned first place in Global Business, the team of Gerald Mikel, Scott Crawford and Jack Bergum placed second in Business Ethics; Eric LaGesse earned fourth place in Business Law; Fong Vang placed second in Economics; Eric Presuhn earned third place in Business Math; Eric Quam placed third in Accounting II; Josh Kimmes earned sixth place in Marketing; Steve Fruehauf placed seventh in Sports Management; John Edwards placed second in Accounting II; Devon Lockwood earned first place in Business Math; Matt O'Shaughnessy placed sixth in Technology Concepts; Coaty O'Brien earned first place in Computer Problem Solving; Caitlin Pendleton placed first in Electronic Career Portfolio; Cassie Hanson earned ninth place in Word Processing I; Molly Adamscheck placed third in Business Procedures; Brianna Homich earned first place in Cyber Security; Ashley Anderson placed third in Web Site Design; the team of Rawia Maamoum and Macey Huwaish earned fifth place in Entrepreneurship; Kate Bergum placed third in Public Speaking I; Hannah Nelson earned fourth place in Job Interview; Rachel Radzak placed second in Marketing; Kabao Vang earned fourth place in Introduction to Business; Makayla Bunnell placed fifth in Impromptu Speaking; the team of Kali O'Neill and Ali Goetelere earned sixth place in Business Presentation; Abby O'Shaughnessy placed ninth in Personal Finance; Brittany Kucinski earned third place in FBLA Principles and Procedures; Ashley Gronlund placed sixth in Introduction to Business Communication; Kayleigh Graham earned fourth place in FBLA Principle and Procedures.
