Superior: Superior Public Library’s book club for adults will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The group will discuss the book “The Guest List” by Lucy Foley. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. Those who prefer to participate virtually should email mehlel@superiorlibrary.org.

Friday, Oct. 1

Lakeside: The Old-Brule Heritage Society will hold an open house at the Davidson Windmill from noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy free tours of the windmill and Eskolin log house, the sauna and Blueberry depot and browse the on-site rummage sale. Free will donations will be accepted.

Superior: Applebee’s in Superior will donate 15% of every check to the Humane Society of Douglas County from Oct. 1-31. People can order online or call their orders in. Participants must bring a paper copy of the flyer from the humane society’s website, or show a digital picture to the cashier when you pick up your order.

Superior: Superior Public Library hosts Storytime in the Park at 10:30 a.m. in Pavilion 2 at Billings Park. The weekly event includes stories, crafts and fun for children.

Wednesday, Oct. 6

Superior: The Downtown Farmers Market runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot in the 1200 block of Banks Avenue.

Thursday, Oct. 7

Superior: The Thaddeus Kosciuszko Fraternal Aid Society (Polish Club) meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1710 N. 12th St.

Saturday, Oct. 9
