Students and fans filled the bleachers at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex in Superior on Wednesday night, Sept. 16, to watch some flag football action as the annual Powder Puff tournament was played during Homecoming Week at Superior High School.

The first game of the night saw the freshmen battle the juniors into overtime, and after both teams scored in the extra frame, the freshmen claimed the win by coin flip. In the second game, the seniors scored toward the tail end of the game to hold off the sophomores and move into the championship game. In that championship, it was all seniors as they scored on their first play and never let the freshmen back into the game.

The Spartans will have a Homecoming parade at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, and then host Rice Lake in football at 7 p.m.
