Superior: The Superior Public Library Friends of the Library will host their annual book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the library. Gently used books, movies, magazines, audiobooks and more will be available for purchase. All proceeds support the library throughout the year. Masks will be required at the sale.

Washburn: The Wisconsin National Guard will conduct free drive-thru COVID-19 testing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bayfield County Highway Garage, 311 1st Ave. E., Washburn. No appointment is needed to be tested. People must be 1 years old or older to be tested. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The tests conducted will be PCR tests, with results available in three to seven days. There will not be antibody testing available at this event.

Superior: The 23rd annual Cause for the Paws 5K walk/run will be held on the Osaugie Trail, starting near the entrance to Barker’s Island, at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Proof of rabies vaccination required to walk/run with a dog. Registration fee is $40 for an individual and up to two dogs, $95 for a family and up to two dogs. Virtual participation is also available. Register online at https://CFP2021.givesmart.com. Funds raised will be used to house, feed and care for animals at the Humane Society of Douglas County.

Superior: East End Family Fun Days runs from 10 a.m. to midnight at the corner of East 5th Street and 22nd Avenue East. The event features a car show, kids' activities, food and craft vendors, rummage sales, 50/50 raffles, a pet parade, a hula hoop contest, a street dance and more. Superior: The Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve in partnership with the city of Superior are hosting a fall beach cleanup at Wisconsin Point from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2nd-annual-wisconsin-point-fall-beach-cleanup-registration-169726593811. The group will meet at Lot #1. Garbage bags, safety vests, garbage pickers, COVID-19 safety items, snacks, soft drinks and water will be provided. Superior: Superior Public Library hosts Storytime in the Park at 10:30 a.m. in Pavilion 2 at Billings Park. The weekly event includes stories, crafts and fun for children.

Superior: The Downtown Farmers Market runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot in the 1200 block of Banks Avenue.
