Superior: NWCSA WIC Program of Douglas County hosts a breastfeeding class, 10 a.m. to noon, Superior YMCA, 9 N. 21st St. Participants will receive a light meal and educational breastfeeding-related item. Raffle for nursing bra, maternity massage or swaddling blanket. Free.
Solon Springs: North Country Trail Association's Brule-St. Croix Chapter fall meeting, noon, Solon Springs Community Center. Potluck followed by chapter meeting at 1 p.m. Volunteers build, maintain and promote the North Country National Scenic Trail in northwest Wisconsin. All who enjoy the outdoors are welcome. Superior: UWS Ragtime Recital, 7:30 p.m., Holden Fine Arts Building, University of Wisconsin-Superior. Singer Jeffrey Madison and pianist Alexander Sandor will perform Fats Waller tunes, as well as some examples of "classical" music that was influenced by music from the ragtime era.

Superior: Food drive, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., East End neighborhood. High school confirmation class students from St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church will be going door-to-door to ask for donations to the church’s food shelf.

Over 30 crafters and vendors, Chinese raffle, bake sale and beverages, sweets and sloppy Joe lunch available. Donations accepted for mitten tree; donors entered in prize drawing.
