HCE craft sale supports scholarships
The annual Douglas County Home and Community Education craft sale takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds, 4700 Tower Ave.
Crafters will offer homemade items, including photography, jewelry, holiday decorations, quilts, fleece blankets, floral designs, knit and crocheted items, doll clothes, natural floral displays, wood products, painted crafts and more.
Admission is $1 per person and includes one door prize ticket. Donations of nonperishable food items for the local food shelf and cat and dog food and supplies are welcome.
The event also includes a bake sale, quilt raffle and lunch for sale.
Proceeds from the annual event support scholarships and educational programs.
