Think 'crazy' for library fun in October

Sign up for our third annual Foolin' Around with Your Family Tree program and learn about genealogy. This free event runs 4:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5. Learn about the library's genealogy resources and services and listen to informative presentations by a variety of speakers. On Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11:30 a.m., put on your craziest outfit and celebrate National Mad Hatter's Day at a Mad Hatter's Tea Party with Northern Expressions Arts Collective. Play games, have snacks and hear stories all inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Registration is required for this free program. Call 715-394-8866 to sign up.

Washburn author Sally Bair will visit the library Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m. to talk about her newest memoir, "Run Sally Run," and talk about her experiences growing up as an identical twin. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

Come to the library for free movies in October and enjoy "Solo: A Star Wars Story" at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8. This movie is rated PG-13.

Come to a free showing of the classic "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" starring Gene Wilder at 11 a.m. Oct. 13. Snacks are available at all movies.
