The annual Thanksgiving feast hosted by the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, like so many restaurants during the current global pandemic, has shifted to home deliveries and meal kits rather than in-person dining.
The Nov. 26 community buffet, organized by the College of St. Scholastica, is available to people living in Duluth, Superior, Proctor, Hermantown, Esko, Cloquet and Two Harbors, according to the DECC's website.
People who are homebound and served through the efforts of Sacred Harvest Northern Lakes Food Banks can pick either a meal kit of frozen turkey, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, corn rolls and dessert, which will be offered the week before the holiday, or meal delivery on Thanksgiving Day.
To reserve a meal, go to decc.org or call 218-723-6484 and leave information. The deadline for meal kits is noon Nov. 13, and the deadline to register for a home-delivered meal is Nov. 19.

In 2018, the News Tribune reported that an estimated 4,000 people would be served more than 2,200 pounds of turkey, 1,800 pounds of mashed potatoes, 150 gallons of gravy and 6,000 rolls and bars.
