Douglas County preps for Head of the Lakes Fair

Events include a demo derby, bingo, music and a magician.

The Head of the Lakes Fair will take place July 20-25 at the Superior fairgrounds, 4700 Tower Ave.

The rides and midway will be provided by Spectrum Carnival. Tuesday, July 20, is sneak-a-peek day with free gate admission. Gates open at 2 p.m. Events include the following:

Tuesday: Sneak-a-peek day, free gate admission.

Wednesday: Junior fair and open class judging begins at 9 a.m.; senior bingo, 3 p.m.

Thursday: Meat bingo, 5 p.m.; beef auction, 7 p.m.; magician/hypnotist shows, 5, 7 and 9 p.m.; live music, 8-11 p.m.

Friday: Family farm day, noon to 3 p.m.; trader's village, 3 p.m.; magician/hypnotist shows, 5, 7 and 9 p.m.; live music, 8-11 p.m.

Saturday: Barrel racing, 1 p.m.; trader's village, 3 p.m.; magician/hypnotist shows, 5, 7, and 9 p.m.; BMX stunts, 6-8 p.m.; live music by “The Northwood’s Band,” 8-11 p.m.

Sunday: Kids demo derby, 12 p.m.; demo derby 1 p.m.
