Ashland: Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center invasive species identification day, 1-4 p.m. Presentation on how climate change may amplify the impacts of invasive species, 1 p.m.; presentation on which plants are considered a threat in Wisconsin, 1:30 p.m.; residents can bring in plants they would like help identifying to see if they might be invasive species, 2-4 p.m. Interpretive displays offer information on how to identify invasive species.

Duluth: Celebrate roses during the Lake Superior Rose Society RoseFest and Rose Show, 10 a.m. to noon, Leif Eriksen Rose Garden, 1300 London Road. Duluth: Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church 27th annual "Taste of Greece" festival, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road; festival continues Sunday. The free event showcases Greek culture, food and folk dancing.

The St. Louis County Historical Society has arranged for Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, an expert in antique appraisal, to be at your service from noon to 3 p.m. in the rotunda.

Michigan St. To secure their place in the home building market during the early 1900s, architects from Minnesota devised a new approach to produce low-cost house designs for prospective homeowners.
