Ashland: Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center invasive species identification day, 1-4 p.m. Presentation on how climate change may amplify the impacts of invasive species, 1 p.m.; presentation on which plants are considered a threat in Wisconsin, 1:30 p.m.; residents can bring in plants they would like help identifying to see if they might be invasive species, 2-4 p.m. Interpretive displays offer information on how to identify invasive species.

Superior: NWCSA WIC Program of Douglas County hosts breastfeeding class, 10 a.m. to noon, Superior YMCA, 9 N. 21st St. Participants will receive a light meal and educational breastfeeding-related item. Raffle for nursing bra, maternity massage or swaddling blanket. Free.

Duluth: Celebrate roses during the Lake Superior Rose Society RoseFest and Rose Show, 10 a.m. to noon, Leif Eriksen Rose Garden, 1300 London Road. Mini-seminars, demonstrations on how to grow and care for roses and a treasure hunt for children. Show open to public from noon to 3 p.m. Exhibitor entries accepted from 7-9:30 a.m. Both events free. Duluth: Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church 27th annual "Taste of Greece" festival, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road; festival continues Sunday. The free event showcases Greek culture, food and folk dancing.

Duluth: Bring your antique or collectible item to the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center, 506 W, Michigan St., for a free appraisal. The St. Louis County Historical Society has arranged for Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, an expert in antique appraisal, to be at your service from noon to 3 p.m. in the rotunda.

Superior: Fairlawn Ice Cream Social, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Fairlawn Mansion, 906 E. Second St. Old fashioned family fun includes food at yester-year prices, carriage rides, music and entertainment, games, cake walk and free tours of the mansion. Michigan St. To secure their place in the home building market during the early 1900s, architects from Minnesota devised a new approach to produce low-cost house designs for prospective homeowners.
