Sunday, July 4

Superior: The 5th Annual Dennis VanAlstine Memorial 4th of July Car and Motorcycle Show on Tower Avenue starts at 9 a.m. with a car cruise to the Perkins restaurant in Superior. The car and motorcycle show runs from 1-7 p.m. on Tower Avenue between Belknap and Broadway streets. The Born Too Late band will play from 1-3 p.m., followed by the Bordertown Betties Contest from 3-4 p.m., awards from 4:30-5 p.m. and music by The Most Wanted Band from 5-7 p.m.

Superior: Fourth of July parade, 11 a.m., Belknap Street from Mortorelli Drive to Ogden Avenue. Live music at Barker's Island will feature Hornucopia from 5-7:30 p.m., and PopROCKS from 8:15-11 p.m. The Fourth of July fireworks display will be launched from a barge at 10 p.m. near Barker's Island. Members of the public are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food truck and beverage vendors will be on site.
