Friday, Nov. 20

Superior: Free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing will take place at the AMSOIL Distribution Center, 1101 Susquehanna Ave., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Superior: The Kruk Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Superior will host Aqua Vitae from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibition features the work of Robb Quisling and Jonathan Thunder. The artists bring their experience with alcohol addiction and recovery to bear on the visual imagery in their work. The Kruk Gallery is located in the Holden Fine Arts Building on the UWS campus.

Saturday, Nov. 21

Bayfield: Free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing will take place at the Red Cliff Clinic, 36745 Aiken Road, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 22

Superior: Earth Rider Brewery will host a holiday market and open mic from noon to 3 p.m. Local vendors will be spread out around the tent. Donations suggested for entrance with all proceeds going to Mentor North. People are asked to maintain social distance and use available hand sanitizer.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

Wednesday, Dec. 2

Iron River: Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank will provide free boxes of food through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program from 10-11 a.m. at the Iron River Community Center, 8275 E. Mill St., and 1-2 p.m. at the Bayfield County Garage, 311 S. First Ave. E., Washburn. The boxes will be distributed in a low-contact, drive-thru format. Face masks are required. There are no income or residency restrictions. The program provides mixed dairy, produce, meat and cheese from U.S. farmers.

Thursday, Dec. 3

Ashland: Free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ashland County Highway Garage, 3918 State Highway 13.

Superior: The Thaddeus Kosciuszko Fraternal Aid Society (Polish Club) meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1710 N. 12th St.

Fundraisers

Saturday, Nov. 21

Superior: Humane Society of Douglas County and Campbell’s Lumber will host Santa Paws from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families can bring their pets to come get a family photo taken with a holiday backdrop. Lady Jane Photography will take the photos for a donation to the Humane Society of Douglas County. Other merchandise will also be available for purchase. Masks are required upon entering the business and hand sanitizer will be available.

Tuesday, Dec. 1, to Sunday, Dec. 6

Superior: Fairlawn Mansion is hosting a virtual Holiday Sampler fundraiser, complete with live music, a silent auction and adult beverages. The silent auction opens on Dec. 1. On Dec. 3, Thirsty Pagan Brewery will contribute $1 from each pint sold to Fairlawn Mansion. Also on Dec. 3, there will be a private Facebook Live concert from 6:30-8:30 p.m. featuring Nick and Ren from One Less Guest. Purchase tickets online at www.superiorpublicmuseums.org. Visit “Book Your Tour Today” and select “Nick and Ren from One Less Guest Concert." The cost is $15 for general admission or $40 VIP, which includes a signed copy of their first album.

Saturday, Dec. 5

Superior: The UW-Superior Alumni Association will host a virtual Holiday Ball. Social will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the live program from 6-7 p.m. There is no charge to attend the event, but a credit card is required to register. Attendees will be able to bid on silent auction items and donate to the university. Participants can also purchase a meal from Chartwells catering in advance of the event.
