Friday, Sept. 24

Iron River: The Wisconsin National Guard will conduct free drive-thru COVID-19 testing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Iron River Fire Hall, 8285 U.S. Highway 2, Iron River. No appointment is needed to be tested. People must be 1 years old or older to be tested. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The tests conducted will be PCR tests, with results available in three to seven days. There will not be antibody testing available at this event.

Saturday, Sept. 25

Superior: Barker’s Island Farmers Market runs 9 a.m. to noon near the SS Meteor.

Superior: The Town of Superior Volunteer Fire Department hosts Town Clean Up Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Town of Superior residents can bring junk and trash to the town hall, 4917 S. Highway 35 for disposal, including mattresses, furniture, electronics and appliances. Prices vary from $5 to $25.

Sunday, Sept. 26

Superior: Douglas County Trader's Village will be held at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds, 4700 Tower Ave., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include a chicken swap, farmers market, crafts, vendors and food.

Monday, Sept. 27

Superior: Lego Club at the Superior Public Library meets from 4-6 p.m. Children are invited to build something amazing from the library's huge collection of Legos. Masks are required to participate in Lego Club.

Tuesday, Sept. 28

Superior: Superior Public Library hosts Storytime in the Park at 10:30 a.m. in Pavilion 2 at Billings Park. The weekly event includes stories, crafts and fun for children.

Wednesday, Sept. 29

Superior: The Downtown Farmers Market runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot in the 1200 block of Banks Avenue.

Thursday, Sept. 30

Superior: Superior Public Library’s book club for adults will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The group will discuss the book “The Guest List” by Lucy Foley. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. Those who prefer to participate virtually should email mehlel@superiorlibrary.org .

Friday, Oct. 1

Superior: Applebee’s in Superior will donate 15% of every check to the Humane Society of Douglas County from Oct. 1-31. People can order online or call their orders in. Participants must bring a paper copy of the flyer from the humane society’s website, or show a digital picture to the cashier when you pick up your order.

Monday, Oct. 4
