Thursday, July 29

Superior: The Superior Fire Department will host a car seat clinic from 3-6 p.m. at the department’s headquarters, 3326 Tower Ave.

Superior: Superior Porchfest in the Central Superior neighborhood from 6-8 p.m. Musician Andy Hausworth will play at 3115 Hammond Ave.; Stel will perform at 3114 Hughitt Ave.; and Tom O'Hara will play at 3032 Weeks Ave.

Friday, July 30

Superior: The Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse hosts its 9th Annual Golf Scramble "Socks for Survivors" at 9 a.m. at Nemadji Golf Course. The event will be held rain or shine and is sponsored by Mac Sport & Marine. Teams can check in starting at 8 a.m. The cost to register is $100 per person, which includes lunch. Participants will be eligible for proximity prizes and mulligans. There will also be two 50/50 raffles and prizes will be awarded for best socks. A hole-in-one prize opportunity will also be on the table courtesy of Benna Ford. After the event, there will be live music by Kelsey Miles sponsored by Superior Choice Credit Union, as well as games and awards. There is also a virtual option to the event, where participants can golf from July 23-29. To register, search for "Socks for Survivors" at events.golfstatus.com . Proceeds from the event go to CASDA, which provides services to people impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

Superior: Barker’s Island Farmers Market runs 9 a.m. to noon near the SS Meteor.

Sunday, Aug. 1

Lake Nebagamon: Trinity Lutheran Church, 11416 E. 1st St. N., will host a pancake brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost to attend is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are free. The brunch includes all-you-can-eat homemade pancakes, sausage, fruit sauce, syrup, juice, coffee and milk.

Wednesday, Aug. 4

Superior: The Downtown Farmers Market runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot in the 1200 block of Banks Avenue.

Superior: The East High School Class of 1960 will host its 61st reunion Aug. 4-5. On Aug. 4, the group will meet at Dreamland Supper Club, with a social hour starting at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Orders will be taken off a limited menu, and attendees are responsible for paying for their meals. Superior: Superior Porchfest in the Billings Park neighborhood from 6-8 p.m. Locations will be revealed one week prior to the event.

Superior: The Thaddeus Kosciuszko Fraternal Aid Society (Polish Club) meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1710 N. 12th St.

Sunday, Aug. 8

Lake Nebagamon: The Superior-Douglas County Family YMCA hosts an open house at its day camp, 11881 E. South Lake Boulevard, from 1-5 p.m. The waterfront will be open and staffed for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Visitors can tour the camp, look through exhibits on the camp’s history and enjoy refreshments. Free and open to the public.
