For the past 25 years, the churches of Superior have hosted a free community dinner at 4 p.m. each Sunday. The dinners are free and open to the community. Anyone looking for good food and warm fellowship is cordially invited to share in the meal. On average, about 100 people enjoy the food and fellowship each week.

The location of the meal changes each week. On the first and second Sundays of the month it is held at Faith United Methodist Church, 1531 Hughitt Ave. The meal is prepared by members of United Methodist on the first Sunday and the ECLA Lutheran Churches the second.

The third Sunday of the month the dinner is held at the United Presbyterian Church, 229 N. 28th St. On the fourth Sunday of the month, First Evangelical Covenant Church, 3311 Hammond Ave., hosts the dinner. If there is a fifth Sunday, the meal is held at Faith United Methodist Church.

The members of the churches have enjoyed preparing and hosting these free meals for the past 25 years, and they hope more people will attend in year 26. For more information call any of the host churches: Faith United Methodist Church, 715-394-9608, United Presbyterian Church, 715-392-4751, or First Evangelical Covenant Church, 715-392-4051.
