Christ Lutheran has developed a solid and exciting program for passing on the Christian faith to young teens.

Registration is open for confirmation classes for teens in grades seven and up at Christ Lutheran Church in Superior.

An informational meeting for parents begins at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7.

Classes begin on Sept. 14 and continue 3:30-5 p.m. every Wednesday.

Christ Lutheran uses a "cradle to the grave -- head to the heart" process, which also provides many opportunities for parents to participate in the learning process with their children.

Confirmation classes are for children who have been baptized in the Christian Faith or who would like to be baptized. The goal of confirmation is to prepare each child for life by helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Confirmation classes take an exciting look at what the Bible says about life with God. Children learn what God says about Himself, Baptism, Holy Communion, the Christian Church, sin and guilt, forgiveness, the purpose of life and the end of the world.

Teens discover God's expectations in regard to worship, parents, suicide, marriage, money, drugs and more, and learn how God's grace in Jesus Christ sets us free when we fail to meet those divine expectations.

Any child is welcome.

Sunday Divine Services for the entire family are offered at Christ Lutheran at 9 a.m. through Labor Day Weekend and beginning 8 and 10:30 a.m. starting Sept. 11 with a Family Christian Education Hour at 9 a.m. A Wednesday evening service is offered year-round at 6:30 p.m.

Christ Lutheran Church is east of the Mariner Mall at 320 N. 28th St. E. in Superior. Call (715) 398-3680 to register or for more information.
