Maranatha Academy will celebrate its 29th year of providing quality Christian education to the Twin Ports area with its annual Friends of Maranatha banquet.
The banquet takes place at 6:15 p.m. May 4 in the Superior Middle School auditorium. Admission is free, but space is limited so call (715) 399-8757 or email maracademy@gmail.com with your RSVP before April 20.
This year's banquet features special guest speaker and pianist Michael Furchert. A speaker, pianist and writer, Furchert grew up behind the Berlin Wall of former Communist East Germany and brings an inspiring message of hope, faith and freedom to Americans.
From the Nazi regime of Hitler's Germany through World War II and communism, from the rise of the Berlin Wall to its celebrated fall, three generations of his family held true to their faith and experienced God's sustaining power throughout turbulent times of European history.
Come enjoy a great meal and hear Michael's incredible story.
