AARP offers its Driver Safety Program 1-5 p.m. May 17 at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Ave.
The four-hour course is available to drivers age 50 and older. The course explains the changes that occur in vision, hearing, and reaction time as we age and provides useful driving safety tips and strategies for handling these changes.
Several major auto insurance carriers in Wisconsin offer discounts to graduates of the AARP Driver Safety Program. People should contact their carrier to see if such discount is available.
To register for the course, contact Senior Connections at (715) 394-3611 or (800) 870-2181. Cost is $12 for AARP members or $14 for non-members, payable the day of the course.
