The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Pruitt Center for Mindfulness and Well-Being is holding a virtual community event to help people deal with life's difficult times.

Maria Sirois, psychologist and international consultant, provides the free virtual presentation open to the community beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, according to a news release

“Resilience: A Positive Psychology Approach to Difficult Moments,” will provide attendees with pragmatic tools that enable individuals to increase a sense of inner capacity and to build that capacity within themselves, schools and work teams, the news release said.

As a positive psychologist, author and inspirational speaker, Sirois focuses on the resilience of the human spirit when under pressure or during significant transition. Known for her wisdom, authenticity and humor, she brings experience in leadership development and stress management for students and professionals.

Free registration for this community presentation is available at uwsuper.edu/Sirois. This is the first in a three-part series of virtual presentations from UW-Superior’s Pruitt Center for Mindfulness and Well-Being.
