Kaleb Madison, who recently moved to Duluth from Arkansas, was working on his slacklining skills.

Slacklining refers to the act of walking, running or balancing along a suspended length of flat webbing that is tensioned between two anchors, similar to tightrope walking. Slacklines are tensioned significantly less than tightropes or tightwires in order to create a dynamic line that will stretch and bounce like a long and narrow trampoline.

Madison began slacklining about two years ago, but recently became more serious about practicing.
