The third annual Monticello School Museum and Archives Flea Market fundraiser runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Maple Town Hall.
The Monticello School was built in 1890 in the town of Lakeside, then part of the town of Brule. It is now located on a new walk-out basement on the site of the Old-Brule Town Hall and Maple school site at the corner of U.S. Highway 2 and County Highway F near Northwestern High School in Maple.
The Old-Brule Heritage Society is in the process of restoring the one-room schoolhouse for a multi-use school museum with a fire-rated vault in the basement to store the organization's collection.
The flea market offers vendors, food and refreshments and is free to attend.
