Duluth: The Minnesota Ballet performs outdoors at the Duluth Public Library Plaza at noon. Upper-level students demonstrate techniques from ballet to Broadway. The show includes tap, modern and European folk dance demonstrations. Free.

Wrenshall: The Free Range Film Festival screens 35 films from around the world in a barn. The festival provides a forum for filmmakers and film lovers, as well as barn enthusiasts and country living aficionados. It runs 7-11 p.m. today, 2-5:30 p.m. and 7-11 p.m. Saturday at 909 County Road 4.


Superior: Barker's Island Farmers Market runs 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot adjacent to the Superior Festival Park and SS Meteor.


Superior: The University of Wisconsin-Superior hosts the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra for its free summer concert at 3 p.m. in the Thorpe Langley Auditorium in Old Main, 1710 Weeks Ave.


Superior: Network with fellow job seekers in the Job Club at 9:30 a.m. at the Superior Job Center, 1805 N. 14th St. The job center hosts a career workshop on interpersonal skills, self-confidence and networking at 10:30 a.m. The workshop is free, but space is limited. Parkland: Celebrate National Night Out 5-8 p.m. at the Parkland Town Hall, 6221 E. Veterans Drive. Enjoy a light dinner, games, activities and an appreciation ceremony for local law enforcement and fire department personnel. Free.

Duluth: MS Support Group meets 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bethany Baptist Church, 6700 Grand Ave. Superior and Duluth MS Groups combining for monthly meetings.
