Douglas County 4-H has a pair of events coming up in June for youth ages 9-12.

Inventgenuity Camp runs 9 a.m. to noon June 12-16 for kids ages 9-11. The weeklong science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities ends with an open house so campers can show of what they made. You apply STEM skills to build structures with funny gears, explore outdoors with digital technology, build ski-like jumps for marbles and learn how to build a basic circuit.

Youth ages 10-12 can participate in littleBits Electronics 2-5 p.m. June 12-16. Projects and activities combine art and STEM using littleBits, a collection of small, magnetic circuits that can be put together in thousands of way. Pieces are color coded and intuitive so anyone can create with them.

Each camp costs $15 for 4-H members and $25 for non-members. Become a member for $5 at or call (715) 395-1363.

Registration for the camps is due May 26. Download forms at
