For generations, local newspapers have been helping families celebrate their most important milestones.

When babies are born, parents have shared the news in a birth announcement.

Your children’s engagements and weddings have been shared with the entire community.

When Mom and Dad finally retire after all of those years of hard work, you recognize them with an announcement in the paper.

Not to mention, the beautiful tribute you place in the paper to honor your grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary.

Community newspapers bring people together, and we are demonstrating that again during this challenging time by publishing your family’s special milestones, sharing them with the entire community in ways no other media does.

This spring, an entire class of seniors may have to celebrate graduation with restrictions ,whether there are capacity restrictions or masks. And parents, grandparents and other loved ones are looking for unique ways to celebrate their graduates who may not get to walk across the stage, or to throw their mortarboard high into the air as the principal congratulates another class of graduates.

We can help

The Superior Telegram publishes important life celebrations each week, and graduation is certainly one of life’s special moments, especially this year. So why not celebrate your senior’s graduation with the rest of the community by placing a “Graduation Greeting” in the paper?

We have a simple, cost-effective and easy way to recognize and share your senior’s accomplishments with everyone. We call these announcements “Milestones," and they publish every week.

By placing a Milestone for your graduate this year, you’ll be creating a tangible keepsake for life, something that your graduates will keep in their scrapbooks and be able to look back upon.

Also, placing a Milestone in the newspaper will share this important moment with the entire community, not just the friends on your social media. Besides, can you cut out a Facebook post and hang it on your fridge for everyone to see?

Celebrate your graduate with everyone

Getting your grad’s Milestone in the paper is simple:

  • Log on to and tap “Get Started” to create an account.

  • Once your account is created, navigate to the content options.

  • Choose the “Other Celebrations” content category.

  • Select the newspaper in which you wish the grad announcement to publish.

  • Build a customized graduation Milestone celebrating your graduate.

  • Select the “Next Step” button to move to the checkout.

Building your Milestone will take you less than 15 minutes to complete; it’s an inexpensive way to share the news with the entire community; and you’ll be producing a memory that your seniors can keep the rest of their lives.
Together as a community, we can help make the time as memorable as possible despite the challenging 2020-21 school year. And as your community newspaper, we are here to do our part!

Celebrations don’t stop

During this challenging time, we know that celebrations do not stop. How we celebrate may change, but our commitment to helping you share your most important family “Milestones” won’t. We will continue to print your graduation announcements, your birthdays, your weddings and engagements, your retirements, and yes, even your loved ones’ obituaries, through this time and beyond.

We are your local newspaper, and we’ve been sharing your family’s Milestones for generations. And we’ll be sharing them for generations to come.
