Superior Fire Capt. Joe Tribbey has been named interim director of Lake Superior College's Emergency Response Training Center. Tribbey has served as a faculty member in LSC's fire services degree programs since 2013, and has provided instruction and advisement for students and rural fire departments in the region through LSC's Customized Training division.
Tribbey will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility's firefighting and emergency response training.
Tribbey holds a bachelor's degree in fire and emergency response management from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and an associate degree in fire technology and administration from Lake Superior College. He is a 17-year veteran of the Superior Fire Department and serves as a captain at Station No. 2 in Superior's North End.
