The governor commended the workers for consistently performing their duties with a positive attitude and high standards.
Rest areas and waysides provide opportunities that help meet the vocational and developmental needs of individuals around the state.
Superior Vocations Center Inc. provides janitorial and maintenance services to the rest area and waysides in the area, and the Safety Weight Enforcement Facility for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, through the Rehabilitation for Wisconsin program. This program has been in place for a number of years, providing integrated employment. Many individuals with disabilities have benefited from this program by receiving vocational training and employment.
Walker is encouraging and promoting employment opportunities for people with disabilities this year, which has been proclaimed the Year of a Better Bottom Line in Wisconsin.
