Sooner or later spring must come to Superior, so why not join us at 6 p.m. April 29 in the library’s Meeting Room for Let’s Talk Lawns: Greening Your Yard. Guests from UW-Extension, Core Landscaping, Duluth Pet Waste Service and Superior Environmental Services Division will be on hand to teach and answer questions about healthy lawns and lawn care. There will even be some fun prizes. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity for expert advice.
Our Artist of the Month is Kathy Hubbard, assistant professor from the UWS Department of Visual Arts. Her unique sculpture is entitled A World Filled with Plastic Bags, and addresses the issue of how our world is filling up with plastic of all sorts and shapes. Kathy uses organic forms of silk and felted merino sheep wool and fills the forms with recycled plastic bags. Come experience this sculpture in the lobby art window through the month of April.
