The deadline for small businesses in Wisconsin to apply for a $2,500 "We're All In" grant has been extended to 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 26.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation program is expected to provide grants to 30,000 small businesses to help them recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 26,000 applications had been received by Tuesday night when the applications period was originally set to close.

The grants will not be determined on a first come, first served basis, according to corporation Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes. All businesses have the same chance of receiving the grant regardless of when they apply.

Hughes said that unlike most other programs to assist businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, “the We’re All In grants come with very few strings attached. They are grants — not loans — so they don’t have to be repaid, and businesses can use the money for whatever they need at this time.”
