At the annual meeting of the United Way of Superior-Douglas County, the following board members were elected. Cindy Theien with National Bank of Commerce, and Tom Wondolkowski with Waddell & Reed Financial Services to serve one-year terms. Andy Lisak with the Development Association will serve two years; and Bill Bombich with Superior Water, Light & Power; Scot Milroy with Anderson Lubricants and Jason Serck with the City of Superior serve three-year terms. Re-elected to serve second three-year term is Luann LaValley with Minnesota Power, and Steve Nelson with the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Board officers were elected at the May Board meeting: President, Luann LaValley; Vice-President, Chad Matushak with Holden Insurance; Treasurer, Dave Minor with the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce; and Past President, Mary Shaw with SMDC - Superior Clinic.
United Way of Superior-Douglas County has been in existence in Superior since 1936. The organization's Mission is to build a stronger and healthier community and empower individuals to improve their lives.
