The Lake Superior College Public Affairs and Advancement Department received two national awards for its current television advertising campaign.
LSC received a Paragon Award at the 37th annual conference of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. The college won a bronze Paragon for third place in the national competition in the "Television Advertisement/PSA, Single" category.
The college also received a merit award in the "Television Ad/Series" category from Higher Ed Marketing Report's Annual Educational Advertising Awards.
"We were very excited to learn that we had won both a Paragon and a Higher Ed Marketing Report Award," said Gary Kruchowski, LSC's director of public affairs and advancement. "It's an honor to be recognized for our promotional efforts in competition with other colleges and universities. And it's nice to be honored by colleagues and competitors."
The Paragon awards were presented March 16 at NCMPR's national conference in Philadelphia. The Higher Education Marketing Report award was announced in late February.
