Even without a sign over the door, BB Makeup Cosmetic Bar is attracting attention.
The business, which made the move from Duluth to Superior this month, has a signature hot pink décor that's hard to miss.
Buzz about the Superior shop surfaced on the You Know You're From Superior Facebook page this week, fueled by customers of the nearby Blue Arrow Boutique who stumbled upon it.
Located at 1408 Tower Ave., BB is not a salon.
"We specialize in makeup," said owner Shannon Luloff. "It's not a subset of the business, it's one of the core concepts of the business. We pride ourselves on being makeup artists."

The business offers bridal makeup, eyelash extensions, brow microblading, prom and special occasion makeup, custom spray tans, princess parties for children up to 12 years old, Halloween makeup and special effects makeup.
Manager Jade Williams also offers reiki, a stress-reduction technique that promotes healing, and chakra balancing.
The store, which opened Jan. 10 in Superior, sells BB's line of cruelty-free, highly-pigmented vegan cosmetics as well as accessories ranging from semi-permanent hair color to hand-crafted headpieces by Twin Ports designer Chemistry Fashions.
"We're going to be getting a lot more retail," Williams said.
Although walk-ins are welcome, she encouraged customers to book an appointment in advance by calling 715-718-5655 or sending a message through the BB Makeup Duluth, Minnesota Facebook page.
Williams said the shop will be bustling with clients preparing for the Snow Ball and prom this weekend, and bridal makeup appointments are already filling up for the summer.
The move to Superior has opened up great parking for customers and the chance to bring all the services BB offers under one roof.
Luloff's license for microblading is from Wisconsin. When the business was located in Duluth, Williams said, she had to schedule services at Trends Salon and Spa in Superior.

It's a highly sought-after service, Luloff said, that customers travel for hours to get.
The move to Superior comes as BB prepares to celebrate three years in the Twin Ports. The shop is holding an anniversary special through the end of February - a free lash fill with the purchase of a new eyelash extension set.
Luloff was in touch with Blue Arrow's owners before making the decision to relocate to Tower Avenue. They're happy to have the new neighbor.
"It's so cool," said Anndrea Ploeger, co-owner of Blue Arrow. "It's another female-run business."
The 1400 block of Tower Avenue is home to at least five small businesses owned by women, including Blue Arrow, which opened at 1404 Tower Ave. two and a half years ago.
"We're still really happy we're here," Ploeger said. "I feel we came in at a really good time and what's happening now is just the beginning."
The influx of small businesses to the heart of Superior, she said, is starting to snowball. And interest in entrepreneurship is strong. Ploeger said she gets questions about how to start a business weekly from customers.
During a Tuesday photo shoot at BB, two women dropped by to book appointments for eyelash extensions. They'd seen the hot pink interior while driving by and knew it had what they were looking for.

The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
