Hayward business owner joins WMC committee

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce on Thursday announced Hayward business owner Shirl La Barre has been appointed to serve on the WMC Small Business Committee.

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce on Thursday announced Hayward business owner Shirl La Barre has been appointed to serve on the WMC Small Business Committee.

The WMC Small Business Committee provides public policy guidance on behalf of small businesses in Wisconsin. Aaron Powell, vice president of Flexion in Sun Prairie is the committee chairman.

La Barre owns Ed's Plumbing in Hayward. La Barre served as the executive officer of Northland Area Builders Association for more than three years.

WMC is the state's largest business trade association, 3,500 members. Half of those members have 50 or fewer employees.
