Sutherland CBD plans to open its second location in Duluth’s Lakeside neighborhood.
“We have hundreds of customers that come over from Duluth,” the Superior-based retailer wrote on Facebook. “We look forward to helping this amazing community in the near future.”
Sutherland sells products made with hemp oil and cannabidiol (CBD), a non-intoxicating derivative of cannabis plants said to help with anxiety and other ails. CBD has recently skyrocketed in popularity for its perceived health and skin care benefits; the Food and Drug Administration has approved it for use in some cases of childhood epilepsy.
Sutherland, currently located at 1613 Tower Ave., offers CBD oil as tinctures, pills, gummies, salves, in dog treats and in other forms. The new location would replace the former Lakeside Gallery at 4431 E. Superior St.; Fox21 reports the store is eyeing a June 1 opening.
