Two Superior products are in the running for the title of "Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin."

The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce's annual contest includes two Superior businesses: Epicurean, which creates cutting boards and other kitchen items on Connor's Point, and Superior IRON-ARTz, for its metal wall art in the shape of the Great Lakes.

This year's nominees run the gamut from boots and cheese curds, to solenoid actuators and jewelry. There's a pickle in a pouch, apple pie baked in a paper bag, T-shirts, exercise equipment and rifle scopes - all Wisconsin-made.

Online voting is open through Sunday, Sept. 16. Anyone can vote in the contest, and people can vote once every 24 hours. When voting ends, the top 16 products from this round will be placed into a bracket-style tournament," Manufacturing Madness."
