The Superior Spartan football team played the roll of cheerleaders Thursday evening during the Champions Camp for kids with special needs. Five campers enjoyed running through different drills as they got instruction and encouragement from the high school players. Even Sparty made an appearance at the camp.
The Head of the Lakes Fair continues in Superior.

Books and other classroom items sat on pallets throughout the hallways of the high school and will be stored in the gymnasium while the circle will be razed later this month.
The Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435 Honor Guard pulled double duty on Friday morning in Superior. Not only did they raise a flag at Northern Lights Elementary School, but they also stood by the doors and shook hands with the close to 600 students that came out to witness the flag raising. A student, Kiera Uotinen, presented the flag to the honor guard. Her mother serves in the Air Force.
The senior class needed overtime to conquer the juniors, but thanks to an Alee Milinkovich-Gray touchdown run on fourth down, the seniors came away with the powderpuff championship. In the first round games, the juniors defeated the freshman and the seniors beat the sophomores. The games kicked off homecoming week at Superior High School.
